TL;DR

Lucius is a third year student at the Blueberry Academy with an uncanny resemblance to a certain infamous Unovan scientist. He doesn’t like it when this fact is brought up, nor does he like bringing up his family or life before the Academy at all.

PERSONALITY

Lucius is, generally speaking, extremely stone faced. He rarely shows a facial expression beyond his signature frown or a slight smirk and maybe a laugh, on a good day. Despite this, he has a lot going on deep down-- he just doesn’t know how to express it, nor is he comfortable doing so to begin with. When you get to know him, however, you’ll find that he actually has a good sense of humor and can engage in some excellent banter. Getting to that point, however, is the hard part.

HISTORY

To put it bluntly, Lucius’ is Colress’ science project. He’s a clone he made when he was barely 20 and impulsive-- he didn’t expect his little test tube baby to survive more than a week at best. He made two attempts that went so poorly that he felt he didn’t get enough data out of them, and then the third attempt was our friend Lucius. Lucius isn’t his birth name, however. Colress called his little experiment Three as a nickname, and it stuck. Yeah, this kid was named a number.

Most of Lucius’ childhood consisted of being dragged around various regions that he can hardly remember for whatever Colress was up to that month. The only period of relative stability he had was in Unova, as he was on the Plasma Frigate for about two years straight. While this sounds like a nightmare for most kids his age, for Lucius? It was awesome. Colress didn’t have time to take care of him, so he pawned him off to the Shadow Triad. Two of them simply did what they had to do to keep him fed and cared for with no attachment, but one of them got extremely attached. He told himself it was just for Lord Ghetsis, sure, but he cared deeply about this kid. Only to have to vanish after Plasma was defeated a second time.

Lucius was dragged to Alola against his will and hated every second of it. It was too hot, too humid, he didn’t like anyone there, and nobody there liked him. He kept getting into arguments with a boy about his age with blonde hair covering one eye- he never even learned his name, but he knew that he disliked him and his father for some reason.

At this age, Lucius was more than old enough to recognize how utterly awful his living situation was. He’d never had a friend, his father didn’t do any more than feed him and keep a roof over his head, and for God’s sake, he was a CLONE. He began lashing out at Colress, who shipped him off to the Blueberry Academy in an attempt to straighten him out.

Shockingly, this actually worked. Lucius was as happy as he’d ever been there, despite the rocky start (getting into constant arguments with Drayton. The two made up about 2 weeks into the school year.) He had friends, he joined the League Club, he had a life of his own aside from whatever Colress was doing that week. He began to go by Lucius around this time period. In his third year, he began skipping classes in an effort to hold himself back so that he wouldn’t have to graduate before he was ready, which honestly felt like never. The academy was his home. That, and he didn’t want to graduate before Drayton.

Things came crashing down when a certain kid named Kieran completely blew through the ranks of the League Club, overtaking Drayton and kicking Lucius out of the Elite Four. Lucius had lost the one spot in the world he felt like he belonged and ended up completely shutting down, locking himself in his dorm and only coming out to eat. Upon occasion, that is. He was forcibly dragged back out into the world by a concerned Drayton and Amarys. He’s still not doing great, but hey, at least he’s leaving his room.

TRIVIA

His birthday, July 5, is the same as Dolly the sheep's.
Ferroseed was his first ever Pokemon, which was perhaps not a very good choice to give to a child. It's accidentally impaled him on its spikes more times than either of them can count.
